2018 here I come!

This is going to be a very short post just to wish you my lovely readers and fellow bloggers a happy new year!

I know I have been missing in action for a good 3 weeks now. I have just been overwhelmed with work and last minute Holidays preparations and by the time things settled I was so exhausted I just crashed and hibernated. I also would like to take a moment to blame the weather in Montreal which has been insane these past few weeks and I am talking -35 to -40 degree Celcius. I am still not sure how this relates to not writing on this space but it is worth mentioning anyways. The good news is I am back fully recharged and will resume posting once a week for the next three months and see if I can pick up speed. Now let’s get to 2017 major takeaways. I only have three that stand out:

2017 takeaways:

1. Stop making excuses for other people: they are already making excuses for themselves why should you give their voice more power by adding to the delusion? Instead take that free time and invest it in taking away your own excuses.

I have been training myself to do this for a few years now but surprisingly enough it does not get easier simply because I have a fondness for lying to myself. But then again I love myself so much I tend not to refuse myself anything :). I guess I’ll just have to keep working on this 😦

2. Invest in people and things that makes a difference in your life

In 2018 I am aiming not to spend not even one millisecond on people or things that do not make me happy. Good vibes only. So much of what is life is being wasted on people and things that do not matter.

3. It is okay to have more than one passion

Pursue all of them until one or two or three stands out. Most often they can all support each other in some way.

4. Can’t pour from an empty cup:

Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of loved ones if not even more. You can’t give what you don’t have so before you go and earn yourself an Oscar as a resident giver make sure you’re not running on empty yourself.

I’ll be back next week, January 13th, with another post. Thank you for passing by! Gros bisous!
